Public decks: find and add decks

3 min · Last checked: October 2026

Other students share their decks with everyone. You can look through them, study them, and add the ones you like to your own folders. It is free. (Want your own deck to show up here too? See Start here: the Public Deck switch.)

How to read the pictures: the red frame shows what to tap, and its number is the number of the step.

Find a deck

  1. Tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen. This is the Search tab.
  2. At the top, type a word in the search box (for example "Spanish verbs") and tap the arrow button.
  3. Or look through the list: choose your language at the top right (for example English), then tap a subject such as Languages or Medicine & Health.
  4. Under Decks for you you see decks chosen from what you already study.
The Search tab with the search box, the language choice, the subjects and the first deck marked in red
2: the search box. 3: your language and the subjects. 4: decks for you.

Look inside before you decide

  1. Tap a deck. You see its first cards.
  2. Scroll down to read the other cards.
  3. Not sure yet? Tap Save for later and it waits for you.
A public deck with the Save for later and import buttons marked in red
3: Save for later. Next step: import.

Add it to your folders

  1. On the deck, tap import.
  2. Choose the folder where the deck should go (the screen is called Select Folder).
  3. Open that folder. Your new deck is there, ready to study. See The three study modes.

New to folders? See Folders and decks. The deck is now your own copy. You can study it, change it and make cards in it, and the original stays as it was.

Share one of your own

On any deck of yours, tap the orange ... button and choose Share Deck. You get a link you can send to someone.
