[A3] Agricultural processinh

simple, versatile, freedom from damage

low initial cost , uniform grind,
low power input, less product damage

best for high moisture and fibrous material

roller mill

high volume, standard product, fixed sequence, least handling and floor space

many different products, low volume; like machines are grouped

large or bulky products stay in place (ships, buildings)

families of similar parts in cells

energy and size ratio (coarse crushing)

energy and new surface (really fine grinding)

intermediate sizes (between)

centrifugal
rotary
piston/plunger
jet/propeller

thin, clean liquids, large flow

viscous fluids with soft fluids

high pressure, thin liquids

special duty

sanitation standard operating procedures

good manufacturing practices

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control

1. Customer Focus
2. leadership
3. engagement of people
4. process approach
5. improvement
6. evidence based decision making
7. relationship managemen

1. hazard analysis
2. determine the critical control point
3. determine one or several critical limits
4. establish a CCP monitoring system
5. Establish Corrective Action
6. Establish Verification Procedure
7. Establish Documentation

boundary between safe and unsafe at a CCP

stricter early warning limit, set inside the critical limit

ideal set point
