*bacterium attaches to and colonizes surfaces using flagella and pilli
*secretes effector proteins (virulence factors) that disrupts tissues and cells
*Exotoxin A inhibits translation
*Proteases digest tissues and inhibit clot formation
*phospholipase digest cell membrane
*toxin pyocyanine produces greenish color at site of infection

*skin lesions with green pus
*chills
*fever
*varies on location (folliculitis, green nail syndrom, keratitis, UTI. pneumonia)

*spread of infectino to other organs
*bacteremia
*sepsis
*necrotizing lesions
