What does High water potential mean?
Means lots of water particles present (dilute)

What is tissue fluid?
A dynamic fluid which is the medium by which materials are exchanged between cells and cappilaries

What is Urea?
The toxic waste product from the break down product of protiens

What is hydrostatic pressure like in the arterial end of the cappilaries? Why?
High due to the contraction of the left ventricle

What does the high hydrostatic pressure in the cappliaries do?
It forces water and small molecules out of the cappilaries in a process called ultrafiltration

What is tissue fluid made from?
blood plasma

What happens to the concentration of tissue fluid when small molecules get forced out of the cappilaries?
Tissue fluid becomes more dilute

Where are large plasma protiens found in the cappilaries?
mid cappilary

Why are large plasma protiens only found in the mid cappilary?
They are too large to diffuse across the membrane

What is the lymphatic system most similar to?
A sewage and drainage system

How does tissue fluid relate to the lymphatic system
any EXCESS tissue fluid ( the small molecules in tissue fluid) is carried back to the cappilaries via the lymphatic system

Why would the lymph be considered a sewage system?
As it contains white blood cells and dead pathogens
