1
When must an MTO takeoff be performed?
RSC is present
RCR less than 12
Flaps are less than 40* takeoff setting
Wind shear of gust front from thunderstorm anticipated
command guidance directs max performance takeoff due to threat
max allowable takeoff weight must be determined
2
What 3 speed are adjusted by a full gust increment not to exceed 10 knots
Vrot
Vmco
Vapp
3
Takeoff shall not be attempted with over ___ inch of wet snow, slush, water or ___ inches of dry snow
1/2; 3
4
Lineup distance for a static takeoff ___; rolling takeoff ___
250' ; 1000'
5
Vrot may be increased by ___ knots to allow for opertion in an acceptable crosswind zone provided the runway is _____.
15 knots; dry (above 12 RCR)
6
Vrot ensures that liftoff spee always equals or exceeds _________.
Air Minimum Control Speed (Vmca)
7
Vgo is the lowest of Vrot, Vr, or Vb(Max) and will be determined prior to brake release. Vgo must satisfy the following:
1. If Vgo is Vrot, and increase in Vrot due to wind gust will increase Vgo an equal amount not to exceed Vr or Vb(Max)
2. If Vgo is Vr, then Vr must be equal to or greater than Vmcg
3. If Vgo is Vb(Max), then Vb(Max) must be equal to or greater than Vmcg and Vcef. If Vb(Max) is reduced due to elevated brake temperature, ground cooling may be necessary.
8
If split markers exist (Vgo less than Vrot):
takeoff planning priorities up to and including an MTO static takeoff should be used to minimize the condition where Vgo comes before Vrot.
