Question 1

What kind of incoming signals do dendrites recieve?

Accepted Answer

Graded response

Question 2

What are the structures apart of the Neuron?

Accepted Answer

Cell body Dendrites Axons Axon terminal Axon hillock

Question 3

What is the ONLY region of the neuron that can generate Action potentials?

Accepted Answer

Axon

Question 4

What is the Axon hillock?

Accepted Answer

Connection point between Axon and Cell body

Question 5

Electrical signal is _____ down the axon _____ loss of _____.

Accepted Answer

- Conducted - Without - Strength

Question 6

What is Contiguous conduction?

Accepted Answer

Action potential spreads along adjacent regions along the entire length of the axon. Unmyelinated.

Question 7

What is Saltatory conduction?

Accepted Answer

Spread of action potentials through myelinated fibers. Action potentials jump from node to node. Same manner as contiguous conduction. Faster than contiguous conduction.

Question 8

Innervation describes a junction between...

Accepted Answer

A neuron and muscle or glands.

Question 9
