Dynamics - 4

The acceleration of a body of constant mass is directly proportional to the amount of resultant force acting on it

$F_{net} = mass\space(kg) \times acceleration\space (m/s^2)$

An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to continue in motion at constant speed in a straight line (uniform velocity) unless a resultant force acts on it.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction

They occur in pairs with each pair made of an action and reaction; Action and reaction are equal in magnitiude; Action and reaction act in opposite directions on different bodies

Friction is a type of contact force that acts on two surfaces rubbing against each other, opposing the movement of one surface against another

heat and noise causing wear and tear

Ball bearings, lubricants such as oil and grease and hovercraft rides on cushion of air

It always acts in a direction that is opposite to the direction of the applied force
